Email only, and here is why
We are a small operation and we answer email. There is no phone line, because a phone line would create an expectation we cannot meet honestly: people ring a site like this wanting advice about their own situation, and that is precisely the thing we are not able to give.
Write to hello@knowyourscript.com.au and we will reply within two business days.
What we are genuinely useful for
Corrections. This is the most valuable message you can send us. If a page is wrong, out of date, or states something we have not sourced properly, tell us — ideally with the source that shows it. We will fix the page or withdraw it, and record the change in the page's update note.
Gaps. If you hit a situation this site does not cover, we want to know. The list of topics here came from working out what patients actually ask; it is certainly incomplete.
Partnership enquiries. If you are a lawyer, broker or other professional interested in a placement, say so and we will send you the terms. Read how we are funded first — it sets out what we will and will not sell, and it rules out a good number of enquiries before they start.
What we cannot answer
Anything about your own circumstances. We cannot tell you whether to disclose your prescription to an insurer, how to respond to a breach notice, what to say at a hearing, or what your chances are. Applying the law to a person's facts is legal practice; publishing general information about the law is not. We do the second thing.
Anything about the medicine. We cannot advise on products, doses, whether to change or stop a treatment, or how to obtain a prescription. Those questions belong to the person who wrote your script, and we do not have opinions about them here.
Urgent matters. We are not a service you should be waiting on. If you have been charged, served, or given a deadline, contact a lawyer today rather than emailing us and waiting two days.
If you are in immediate difficulty
If a deadline is running — a tribunal date, a court date, a claim decision, a notice with a response period — the single most useful thing you can do is speak to a practitioner in that area now. Most of the situations on this site have short, strict time limits, and the commonest way people lose is by missing one while researching.
